Product Description

The Xeno Korporation is proud to target a new piece of ancient artillery at your specie, humans, with the unleashing of an other XENOKORP Kvlt Series weapon: the reissue of MERCYLESS‘ 1993 second full-length, “Coloured Funeral” along with “Spiral of Flowers 2017“, a brand new single by the band. After their mind-blowing debut, “Abject Offerings” released in 1992 through Vinyl Solution (BOLT THROWER, CANCER, MACABRE…), MERCYLESS signed to Century Media (ASPHYX, GRAVE, UNLEASHED…) and released their second full-length, “Coloured Funeral“, keeping all of previous album’s brutality, heaviness, catchiness and melodies, but pushing it all to the next level with more intricate riffing and song-structures and an overall darker and more mature feel to it making this release not only an other highlight of the band’s discography but also a classic of the whole Death Metal genre, quickly followed by countless tours and gigs with DEATH, GRAVE, TIAMAT, UNLEASHED and many more. Twenty-five years after the album’s production, thirty years after MERCYLESS‘ inception, the Xeno-Lords are proud to not only bring this deadly weapon back to life on CD and, for the first time ever, vinyl, but to also release a modern re-interpretation of the album’s opening song, one of the fans favorites and a long-time staple of the band’s set lists, “Spiral of Flowers“. Exclusively available on CD as part of the “Mailorder Collector Edition” of the “Coloured Funeral” reissue, the “Spiral of Flowers 2017” single will also be available digitally on all platforms to celebrate the album’s reissue. Carefully remastered for both analog and digital audio supports at the Conkrete studio (DEFEATED SANITY, ANATA, PUTRID OFFAL…), all versions of this masterpiece’s reissue will also feature detailed liner notes / interview with founding member, frontman Max Otero, by renowned journalist Olivier “Zoltar” Badin of Terrorizer magazine along with classic pictures, flyers, etc. - Limited Edition, Reissue, Gold / Black Marbled
